Energy Share for Sunday
April 5, 2009

By LoveFromWales

Today I chose to share with you another energizing video. I was feeling tired and worn out from all the family gatherings...funerals, baby showers, birthdays... especially the past 2 days and everybody was up into the wee hours. There's a great shift of energy here with everyone on the move, many who are coping with the losses of family members, jobs, and homes. And Palauans are a pretty tight knit community... seems like we're all related somehow...cousins, aunts or uncles. But it's the best place you'd want to be during times of significant change.

So I've embedded the energy boost in this video to fill you with joy, love and laughter. To give you the strength to carry on. I was certainly amused when I first saw this video...not exactly the sort of music or video I'd play for meditation or healing. But it certainly helped remind me what I like to do sometimes when I'm feeling tired and need a boost. And in the immortal words of the video's creator, "When you're feeling down, just dance around!"

And so I did.

I hope it will do the same for you...no need to think, or wonder, or doubt...no room for ego, or pretension, or complication. Forget the dance shoes and dance with me. Just Dance! The boost will be there for as long and as much as you need it.

I gratefully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms. Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be. Thanks again and enjoy the previous posts...especially the slideshows for my sister's birthday this past Friday.

Namaste (Let us honor the love and peace within each other),

Lydia

P.S. Thanks to those of you who replied to the slideshows. Luv yu! ^-^

  1. I thought you might like to be aware of this online resource group:

    http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/healingdance/

Healing Dance Network - a web between the various healing dance studies,
theories, practitioners and proponents through which to find, share and
expand knowledge and understanding into the possibilities and realities of
healing through dance. I am hoping you will let us know about your own
search and findings and how we might work together to bring our learning
    further.

  2. Hello, alii, aloha kaua e Laurie,

Thanks for the comment...I checked out the group and joined. Will be posting a brief intro message.

From my perspective, I know from direct experience the therapeutic benefits of dance and creative movement. Especially when I was led to music and dance while growing up with my mother's terminal illnesses. They both helped me to cope when she passed away and I eventually joined the theatre and dance department at the University of Hawai'i. One of the faculty members at the time taught dance therapy and the music department offered music therapy as well.

I was also led to take hula classes and joined a halau in Virginia. Aside from the physical, mental/emotional benefits, there was also the social aspect of having a common bond with other performers.

    Thanks again for the invite.

    Take care,

    Lydia

  4. Lydia, I'm doing fine – it’s birthday month, after all.

One of my Aries sisters is throwing a big bash on her 50th next week. She was born on the 17th, the day before me. We just celebrated my mother’s 80th birthday last weekend. I'm not tired of parties yet. Stephen is fine – he’s in his first year of college. A picture is attached, but there’s so much hair, it’s hard to see his face.
