Keeping Quiet
Now we will count to twelve
and we will all keep still.
This one time upon the earth,
let's not speak any language,
let's stop for one second,
and not move our arms so much.
It would be a delicious moment,
without hurry, without locomotives,
all of us would be together
in a sudden uneasiness.
The fishermen in the cold sea
would do no harm to the whales
and the peasant gathering salt
would look at his torn hands.
Those who prepare green wars,
wars of gas, wars of fire,
victories without survivors,
would put on clean clothing
and would walk alongside their brothers
in the shade, without doing a thing.
What I want shouldn't be confused
with final inactivity:
life alone is what matters,
I want nothing to do with death.
If we weren't unanimous
about keeping our lives so much in motion,
if we could do nothing for once,
perhaps a great silence would
interrupt this sadness,
this never understanding ourselves
and threatening ourselves with death,
perhaps the earth is teaching us
when everything seems to be dead
and then everything is alive.
Now I will count to twelve
and you keep quiet and I'll go.
-from Full Woman, Fleshly Apple, Hot Moon

Today I send you an energy boost to fill you with peace, love, and harmony, remembering that we exist in a friendly universe, living together as one. To remember that to have love and compassion for others we must first begin with ourselves. To begin with forgiveness, with acceptance, to rise above pettiness and misunderstanding.
Thank you so much for being the wonderful and beautiful beings that you are and being part of this energy we share. My heart, mind and spirit celebrates and embraces the boost from you.
Let us continue to live with purpose, passion and compassion...for ourselves and with each other. For me, dance and music are the expressions of the heart and soul...so enjoy the previous posts. May you continue to experience and appreciate the joy of living in the present moment.

Patrick Swayze Tribute
I loved this dance medley tribute by the "Dancing with the Stars" pro dancers...of course, who hasn't seen it? Just have to share it again...I'm thankful to have an inspiration like him in my life. He was a man whose philosophy was, "We're all dying...and until it kills me, I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing."
Now that was a man who lived with passion.

This is the defining statement of the meaning of living in the present and the basis of the Power of Now and every spiritual practice and philosophy.
The past is just a memory; a history which can be changed and often is. It can also represent either the greatest inhibitor to success or the magnificent foundation to it. Thoughts, beliefs, and ideas that either were either passed on or created may engender confidence, courage, excitement, joy, fulfillment or anxiety, worry, fear, doubt, and anger....The future doesn't exist yet...created and molded by what you do now.
So let yourself release emotional attachments to negative experiences from the past. When you recall these memories, use a meditative exercise that helps you to release any pain from them, remembering that you have the power to change your thoughts and beliefs at any time.
Adopt a daily regimen to practice the meditative exercise, or any physical activity that calms the mind and puts you in a reflective state. Imagine and speak to yourself a vision of what you have always wanted in your life. Imagine and feel what it would be like to achieve that vision, however small or large. Then imagine and act on any small step which you can immediately accomplish. Once achieved, then joyfully acknowledge them. Keep a daily log of those achievements and 5 things you have experienced which you are grateful for. This is your journey towards a future of your own making.
Energy healing and aromatherapy are excellent complements for any medical therapy and greatly enhances recovery from injury and illness. Physical and/or mental and emotional issues can be aided with complementary and alternative healing modalities, although be sure to communicate your intentions with a licensed medical practitioner.

Today I send you an energy boost to fill you with angelic light, wholeness, and peace. To heal hurts and wounds, follow our special perceptions as we are guided by the sounds of angelic vibrations, and experience the illumination of our divine blueprint. Our understanding of angelic energies is part of our move from the third dimension to the fourth and fifth dimensions. The angels enable us to understand the movement of energy from duality to wholeness as part of the changing times we are in. The angels are the connecting energies between God and our selves. If the angels are energy, then we can transform our own energy by focusing on their forms and how we each as individuals relate to them.
Thank you so much for being the wonderful and beautiful beings that you are and being part of this energy we share. My heart, mind and spirit celebrates and embraces the boost from you.

One of the most inspiring dance theatre groups ever, I saw the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre group in Hong Kong years ago. The performance appeared so surreal and vivid, I'll never forget it...it was incredible.
Here's one they've done to one of J.S. Bach's Cello Suites, Sarabande, Suite No. 5. Entitled 'Moon Water' it is the expression of the fluidity of tai chi movement...Energy flows as water, while the spirit shines as the moon." This description of a Tai Chi practitioner's ideal state was the inspiration for 'Moon Water'. Enjoy!

Getting Past the Con
Yesterday I was about to post my status on MySpace and checkout my financial accounts...and made the shocking discovery that things were continuing to spiral from bad to worse this past week. My debit card was stolen and my account drained of $500. And I know now that the person who took my card is the same one who stole money from me this past weekend...which turned out to be my personal caregiver, Deborah...she just lied to my face, cheated me and stole from me...!
The drama started up again yesterday morning with phone calls to report my stolen card, no ride to work, and no money. What do I do after that????
Well, I do what I can do.... first, place my name on some healing lists and, second, do healing for myself. And after letting myself vent about it for a while, I'm ready to move on....
But what may appear to be a bad thing could actually be a good thing, a blessing...Were these events really a bad thing?
I'm glad the truth came out much sooner than later and I wasn't physically harmed in the course of being robbed. I've been relieved of what could have potentially been a far more expensive, dangerous and traumatic incident(s). A fearful, angry, and desperate person will be quick to act on his/her desperation when they give in to their belief of lack, filling themselves with visions of loss and abandonment, possibly even remembering pain from such experiences in the past.
Lesson learned? Be careful and discerning of the people you allow into your inner circle. They can either create conflict and drama and drag you down or enlighten and uplift you with joyful harmony. Choose to believe in the latter within yourself and others...like attracts like and you'll get to live in and with mutually synchronistic relationships...
The drama is over now.
Compassion and forgiveness are key now for Deborah's own sake as well as mine to heal and bring about a peaceful resolution to this abrupt end. It's not surprising that this is the path she's chosen to walk down for now...Deborah is on Social Security and her income was cut by over $250 in the past month or so, right after she moved out on her own into a new apartment.
So I wish her well and pray that she will soon return to her Christian faith...and remember to recognize and embrace the abundance and love of God that has always existed in her life.
Experience has taught me to move quickly beyond such things and letting go of them. I let myself experience the emotional pain and speak about it to release it completely from myself and replace it with peaceful harmony....heal, meditate, breathe...then it's gone....and onto healthier and happier times.
Years ago i was so highly intuitive I didn't know how to shield and separate myself from others' fears and pains. I would get thrown so off-balance to the point of illness and from what I understand, that's not so uncommon for intuitives. But I'm a born optimist and have learned to follow the Inner Voice to a T by channeling my energies into more peaceful, productive and happier endeavors.
If anyone's heard of Palau or Guam, you'll probably hear about the frequent and intense, sometimes catastrophic typhoons. So we learn to be prepared for the worst but expect the best, and appreciate the blessings of clean water, working electricity and communal support.
You learn of the ephemeral nature of superficial material things and status...
Growing up in Palau as a kid, most folks lived in wooden houses with tin roofs, outhouses, outdoor showers or communal baths. But we lived richly and abundantly from the land and ocean...I grew up never witnessing hunger or homelessness, experiencing only the loving kindness of a large, extended family.

Some more incredible dancing....
Jamel Gaines and Creative Outlet Dance Theatre of Brooklyn (contemporary guest artists) present dance as the main ingredient fused with theater, voice, poetry, film and live music. Much more than entertainment, their repertory draws attention to social and cultural issues.
Jamel is the Founder and Artistic Director of the company. He was raised in Queens, NY and began his career as a choreographer at SUNY/Purchase, where he graduated with a BFA and received scholarships from Harry Belafonte and Alvin AileyAmerican Dance Center.
Under the direction of Kevin Iega Jeff and Jubilation! Dance Company, Mr. Gaines developed his unique sense of staging and performance quality. Over the past fourteen years, Mr. Gaines has choreographed and staged over 50 concert and repertory productions. His work includes choreography for the Alvin Ailey Dance Center, the Martha Graham School of Dance and the American Black Film Festival/Film Life Awards Ceremony among numerous others. Jamel choreographed and instructed for the DT Performance and Intensive in 2003, 2004 and 2008. creativeoutlet.org

“Mind is the Master-power that molds and makes,
and Man is Mind, and ever more he takes
the Tool of Thought, and shaping what he wills,
brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills-
He thinks in secret and it comes to pass;
Environment is but his looking-glass.”

I've so enjoyed this particular video meditation and it pretty much sums up what we are about and how we choose to live our lives. And let us continue to be the beautiful and unique expressions of Divine Love for ourselves and the planet.
I've embedded the energy boost in this video so it activates the moment you play it. Imagine the boost surrounding you with harmonious love, light and serenity. I know I really needed a boost to get me through this past week. And especially in dealing with the burglary in my home...while I was sleeping! But I'm grateful that no harm came to me and measures will be taken to improve security at the house. You can read my previous post about it.
I'm sure you'll feel my deep and abiding gratitude for the energy we share. My heart, mind and spirit embraces the boost from you.
Let us continue to be passionate about life and live with purpose and harmony. Allow yourself to be fully present and experience joy in the moment.
Aloha pumehana (with blessings, love and affection),

I've just found out my home was burglarized during the night...while I was sleeping in bed! Of course, I've made calls to the police, had a visit with the local sheriff's department and arranging for some help for the weekend. Considering how devastated and afraid you'd think I would be, I'm not really...maybe I'm still in shock.
Anyhow, there's not much the sheriff can do since this is the first report in our neighborhood of a burglary but not surprising that it would be over the Labor day holiday.
Thankfully, I wasn't robbed - as in attacked - while things were being taken. Apparently there's a difference between a burglary and a robbery. The latter being one in which there is/are victim(s) who have been physically injured while there aren't in the former.
Aside from some petty cash, I'm just thankful and so relieved that my laptop and electronic equipment weren't taken or my IDs...and that no one came into my bedroom and attacked me!
I've been told that Reiki (and any healing energy) protects the individual from bodily harm and keeps them safe. I've seen this happening in my life time and again. It also helps to keep your mind alert and be proactive against outward and inward attacks.
So...what do you do after something like that? After the practical matters of police reports, changing locks and whatnot is to pay attention to myself and how I'm dealing with this incident both emotionally and physically. And I'm thankful, once again, that I've matured and seasoned enough to know how to help myself with getting past it without trauma. It's good to have help with this so I've posted healing requests online with friends and healing networks.
Then next, of course, is to help others in our neighborhood be aware and possibly start a neighborhood watch. I've been part of one in the past and it's comforting to know your neighbors will be looking out for you and vice versa.
More updates to follow...possibly with some helpful information which I'll post on the blog and my other profiles on Facebook/passion4living (I also have a couple of groups), MySpace/thepassionatelife and Twitter/passion4living...
