The Word

The word was born
in the blood,
it grew in the dark body, pulsing,
and took flight with the lips and mouth.

Farther away and nearer,
still, still it came
from dead fathers and from wandering races,
from territories that had become stone,
that had tired of their poor tribes,
because when grief set out on the road
the people went and arrived
and united new land and water
to sow their word once again.

And that's why the inheritance is this:
this is the air that connects us
with the buried man and with the dawn
of new beings that haven't yet arisen.

By Pablo Neruda

An excerpt from 'Full Woman, Fleshly Apple, Hot Moon'
Translated by Stephen Mitchell

It's another sunny weekend and I've sent to you an energy boost in the spirit of love and unity. To help you experience the unconditional love that comes to you at every moment; the blessings, beauty and joy with yourself and with others.

Yesterday we had a large church gathering of Palauans who arrived from parts of northern California, San Diego and Arizona. In anticipation of the numbers of folks converging on our small town of Moreno Valley, my male relatives were barbequing for nearly 24 hours straight! You can imagine the feast we enjoyed together on the rare occasion such as this. The theme of the church program was "Love and Unity" which started off with the music ministry of San Diego - folks from the Marshall Islands and Chuuk of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). The FSM is a collective group of Micronesian islands which is afforded U.S. citizenship and is separate from the Republic of Palau and Guam.

It was a poignant theme when one of the speakers sadly pointed out that 30% of prison inmates in Hawai'i were Micronesian and are usually arrested due to cross-cultural misunderstandings. Nearly 60% have already migrated away from the FSM. They come to the States for better medical care but are already dying out from radiogenic birth defects and cancer resulting from the nuclear bomb testing there in post WWII.

Thanks so much for all you do as healers and friends. Checkout the previous posts...you know me, gotta love the hula! E hula mai (Let's Dance)!

Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.

Aloha pumehana (with blessings, love and affection)!

Let Me Find You

By Barbara Aldrich

Let me find you
Where you hide
Behind closed door
In your lonely room.
Let me brush aside
Your tousled hair,
Wipe the tears
From off your cheek;
See into your lonely heart
And lift the pain.
Let me find you.

Let me find you
Standing in that place alone;
Crowds around you -
No one seeing,
No one feeling.
Let me look into
Your lonely eyes -
Make them smile,
Reflecting mine;
Make them shine.
Let me find you.

I am love,
Sent from God
For everyone.
I am your right.
I am your gift
To lead you up
From out the night.
Don't give up.
There's someone out there
To fill your cup.
Let me find you.

Barbara is a part-time teacher and E.M.T. (Emergency Medical Technician), the mother of six children and three step children, married to her high school sweetheart for 23 years and living in Nevada. You can find her poetry on www.inspirationpeak.com.

It's another sunny weekend and I've sent to you an energy boost to experience happiness because love is the source of power, and you can enjoy and acknowledge all the good that is. To experience blessing, beauty and joy with yourself and for others. To find the humor in every situation and just laugh.

Thanks so much for all you do as healers and friends. Checkout the previous posts...and Happy Father's Day!

Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;

Where knowledge is free;

Where the world has not been broken up
into fragments by narrow domestic walls;

Where words come out from the depth of truth;

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into
the dreary desert sand of dead habit;

Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action--

Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

Rabindranath Tagore, "Gitanjali"
from http://peacefulrivers.homestead.com/Tagore.html

Rabindranath Tagore was a recognized poet, philosopher and thinker. In 1913 he won the Nobel Prize for Literature. His poetry calls out for a re-connection with the divine in every moment we live on Earth.

Today on this beautifully sunny weekend I send to you an energy boost to help you release any fear and anxiety blocks about succeeding in these challenging times. When you can intend for success in life and allow yourself to accept it, you can begin to realize a clear vision of that success. Accept the boost to also give you patience, endurance, and joy. To help you be mindful of the power of humor and seek out every opportunity to laugh. Thanks so much for all you do as healers and friends.

Enjoy the previous posts...along with the post on the healing properties of quartz crystals, I've posted videos by Serge Kahili King on the ancient Hawaiian philosophy of living with Huna. He speaks about the 7 principles of Huna and what Vince Wingo has termed the 7 Laws of Attraction.

Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.

Decide To Be Healthy
by Dr. Robert Muller

Decide to be healthy.

Pray to God every day for good health.

Take health as your sacred, God given duty.

Make no room whatsoever for the slightest thought of sickness.

Encourage your trillions of faithful little cells through joy, happiness and confidence.

Thank them, talk to them, sing to them.

Let no foul air, food or liquid poison you.

Let no anger, anxiety or bitterness enter you.

Wake up every morning with gratitude for your resurrection and repeat ten times:

"I am the happiest and healthiest person on earth."

Repeat it again before you sleep.

Close your eyes and think of God, good health and happiness.

And thank your Father in heaven who has given us a body never to be sick, a mind never to be dull, a consciousness never to be empty, and a spirit full of the heavens and of the Earth.

Dr. Robert Muller is a world-renouned peace activist and former Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations. Now in active retirement, Dr. Muller currently presides as the Chancellor of the University for Peace created by the United Nations in Costa Rica. Thanks to everybody who have been passing around the Golden Power Ball on Facebook. I thought that was a great way of sharing the energy boost for this week, so I added a boost to my golden ball. It is the perfect end to a beautifully sunny weekend and the beginning of what is coming to be a very busy week. Thanks so much for all you do as healers and friends.

I'll keep this reminder going for another Sunday...this blog is now imported to my Facebook Group (and I'll get to my MySpace account as well) so that you can read the energy share message and the rest of the blogposts. Enjoy the previous posts...although you might not want to read the previous one while eating... ^-^

No More Smalling Up Of Me

No more meekly saying 'yes'
When my heart is screaming 'no'
No more taming of my feelings
So my power won’t show
No more hiding my exuberance
From disapproving eyes
No more watering down myself
So my spirit won't rise

No more 'smalling up' of me
Pretending I am not here
No more running from the music
And the spotlight's glare
No more living in this prison
Barricaded by my fears
No more turning and retreating
In the face of new frontiers

Even as I am speaking
I am taking shape and form
Harnessing my powers
Like a gathering storm
There's no obstacle so bold
As to dare stand in my way
I am taking back my life
And I am doing it today.

Today I send an energy boost to fill you with joy and excitement. To feel unencumbered by judgment and criticism, lack and failure, to have strength and endurance, to be incredibly alive and aware of all the blessings and love that are here now and of what is to come.

Call on the boost at anytime for as long as you need. I gratefully acknowledge and fully embrace the boost from you, it truly does make a difference. Thanks for being a part of the energy share, and simply being the wonderful friends and healers you are.

Just to remind everyone, this blog is now imported to my Facebook Notes (and I'll get to my MySpace account as well) so that you can read the energy share message and the rest of the blogposts, thus sparing me the agony of email delivery failures that have begun populating my inbox. I will be putting together a Passionate Life group and invite you all (hopefully later today if there's time). Keep an eye out also for my pet invitations...yes, it can become a consuming activity, I agree, but it's fun for a few minutes of playdates... LOL! ^-^

Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.

Aloha pumehana (with blessings, love and affection)!

One Easy Step to Enlightenment

First off, and I do mean first
You know in your heart
that the times are changing
Oh so much slower than we thought
and you know in your heart
that the good guys and the bad guys
don't know any more than you what's going on
End of the World?
End of Time?
I'm here to tell you
and yes that is my job
It doesn't matter
This moment and only this moment, matter
It is your heart, your very soul
that will shape this moment
and when we, together
Awaken to the idea
that is this moment
we will reach out
without any thought for
what's in it for us
without any notion of our need
but reach out in one infinitesimal
moment
for no other reason than to
Be
Together
Joined
In the Moment

The boost this week is shared in the spirit of unity. That in the spirit of our interdependent, interconnected community, I send the boost flowing to inspire you, to invigorate you, and to be joyful knowing we're all in this together. No one gets left behind.

Call on the boost at anytime for as long as you need. I don't know about you, but some days I need it more than others. So I gratefully acknowledge and fully embrace the boost from you, it truly does make a difference. Thanks for being the wonderful friends, healers and earthly angels that you are. It is an honor and a blessing to be in your company.

Enjoy the previous posts...I especially enjoyed Steve's Ice Cream Channel and pretending to be human. And, as always, Bruce Lee's inspiration.

Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.

Aloha pumehana (with blessings, love and affection)!

Lydia

P.S. I'm going to start posting the share messages to Facebook instead of by email group...too many delivery failures and work for me to stay caught up...My FB user profile is under my name. For now I'm posting this message on My Notes, but will be forming a group there (The Passionate Life)which you can join and view the share messages (as well as this blog).

Empty your mind, be formless.
Shapeless, like water.
If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup.
You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle.
You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot.
Now, water can flow or it can crash.

Be water, my friend.

Bruce Lee, Quotes from "Striking Thoughts"

Today my friend and holistic spa owner, Karen, and her husband celebrated their 25th anniversary. I chose to dance a few Hawaiian hulas in their honor and we had a wonderful time together. The first hula I danced was about the waterfall Hi'ilawe in the Waipi'o valley of the Big Island (checkout the previous post videos of the songs I chose). But its deeper meaning was about the love affair of 2 people who were not caught up by gossip and criticism. That they continued to be truthful to themselves, that their love continued to flow unhindered.

And this is also what I chose to be the energy boost for you this week. Feel the boost flow with the life-giving force of water into you and be refreshed, awakened and fulfilled. Live simply, adapt fluidly to the changing circumstances and difficulty around you, and be willing to express who you are truthfully. Call on the boost at anytime for as long as you need. I gratefully acknowledge and fully embrace the boost from you.

Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.

Namaste (I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells),

Happy Mother's Day! Today I chose to share this slideshow in honor of all mothers who are still here and to those who have passed on. I have been blessed to have 2 mothers, one who passed away many years ago but whose memory remains strong in my heart. She was a kind and generous spirit from whom I learned to treat others with compassion and respect. And the other, alive and well, a fully empowered woman who inspires others with her strength of spirit.

Just as last week, the energy boost is placed within the slideshow. Once you play it, the boost is activated and will flow continuously for as long as you need. Call on it whenever you need a boost. With heartfelt gratitude, I thank you all for being a part of this energy share. I joyfully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms.

Enjoy the previous posts...Mother's Day, channeled messages from Geoffrey and Steve on the external and internal challenges of the New Energy, and how we evolve as conscious, empowered, communities.

Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.

Namaste (I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells),

Keeping Quiet

Now we will count to twelve
and we will all keep still.
This one time upon the earth,
let's not speak any language,
let's stop for one second,
and not move our arms so much.
It would be a delicious moment,
without hurry, without locomotives,
all of us would be together
in a sudden uneasiness.

The fishermen in the cold sea
would do no harm to the whales
and the peasant gathering salt
would look at his torn hands.

Those who prepare green wars,
wars of gas, wars of fire,
victories without survivors,
would put on clean clothing
and would walk alongside their brothers
in the shade, without doing a thing.

What I want shouldn't be confused
with final inactivity:
life alone is what matters,
I want nothing to do with death.

If we weren't unanimous
about keeping our lives so much in motion,
if we could do nothing for once,
perhaps a great silence would
interrupt this sadness,
this never understanding ourselves
and threatening ourselves with death,
perhaps the earth is teaching us
when everything seems to be dead
and then everything is alive.

Now I will count to twelve
and you keep quiet and I'll go.

Pablo Neruda
from Full Woman, Fleshly Apple, Hot Moon
Translated by Stephen Mitchell

Today has been a wonderfully warm day with flocks of birds chirping and dancing around in the clear sky. A day when you head out to the beach or maybe a day at the pier and listen to the birds swarming around the local fishermen as they pull in their catch.

So I am sending our energy share with the birds. Let the boost of energy come to you now and every time you catch sight of a bird this week, or find a feather, or hear birdsong, the energy will come to you again. Keep your eyes open and look for it. Or close your eyes and imagine your favorite bird chirping outside your window. The boost of energy is yours for as long as you want it.

With heartfelt gratitude, I thank you all for being a part of this energy share. I joyfully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms.

Enjoy the previous posts and, until the next time, enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.

Namaste (I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells),

Where Does the Dance Begin, Where Does It End?

Don't call this world adorable, or useful, that's not it.
It's frisky, and a theater for more than fair winds.
The eyelash of lightning is neither good nor evil.
The struck tree burns like a pillar of gold.

But the blue rain sinks, straight to the white
feet of the trees
whose mouths open.
Doesn't the wind, turning in circles, invent the dance?
Haven't the flowers moved, slowly, across Asia, then Europe,
until at last, now, they shine
in your own yard?

Don't call this world an explanation, or even an education.

When the Sufi poet whirled, was he looking
outward, to the mountains so solidly there
in a white-capped ring, or was he looking

to the center of everything: the seed, the egg, the idea
that was also there,
beautiful as a thumb
curved and touching the finger, tenderly,
little love-ring,

as he whirled,
oh jug of breath,
in the garden of dust?

By Mary Oliver -from Why I Wake Early (2004)

It's beautiful today, a wonderful time to connect in this moment with you. For anyone who may be feeling down, under the weather, or just plain tired, I send you a boost to pick you up and a BIG HUG! for peace, love, light and laughter. I sing your names with joy, letting the vibrations of my words ripple out into the Universe.

I gratefully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms. Thanks for all you do as healers and just being the wonderful people you are. Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be. Enjoy the previous posts.

Today I'd like to welcome fellow Lightworkers and Reiki Masters Velanthas and Mark to the energy share (Velanthas' site http://velanthas.webs.com/). Mark recently received the Angel of the Heart Empowerment from my site and it's a pleasure to have them both join our circle of Light. Aloha kakou!

As some of you may know, I've started working at the recently opened S.P.A. (Salus Per Aquam - Health by Water, www.phutc.com) Holistic Healing Center and the owner, Karen, wants to invite practitioners to the spa...specifically hypnotherapists, acupuncturists, reflexologists, aromatherapists, and nutritionists. In addition to the therapeutic equipment in the spa, she wants to have consulting practitioners in these fields as well as holding classes, guest lectures and holistic healing events. Her goal is to open more healing spas throughout California. If you (or a fellow therapist) would like to be part of the spa or come to speak, have a book(s), dvd/cds that you would like to share, please let me know. In this way we can provide support and abundance for each other. You can either post a comment on this blog or send a message through my MySpace profile (www.myspace.com/thepassionatelife) and be sure to leave me your contact info.

Namaste (I honor the place in you which is of Love, of Truth, of Light and of Peace),

Energy Share for Sunday
April 12, 2009

Easter is not a time for groping through dusty, musty tomes or tombs to disprove spontaneous generation or even to prove life eternal.

It is a day to fan the ashes of dead hope, a day to banish doubts and seek the slopes where the sun is rising, to revel in the faith which transports us out of ourselves and the dead past into the vast and inviting unknown.

Author Unknown

Happy Easter! This weekend we're celebrating the occasion of our birthdays and Easter. It's a time of new beginnings for some of our cousins who are moving on to Guam as well as returning home for a brief respite from a military tour of duty. A time to rise above and heal beyond pain and suffering, to reconnect with love, joy, and anticipation of all the blessings to come.

So this inspired me to send to you a boost of energy that is the energy of birth, rebirth and new beginnings. Take a moment to accept this boost of energy and let it flow through you. Call it down as much as you like this week. I gratefully acknowledge the boost from you with open arms and a joyful heart. Let us remember to have love and compassion for ourselves as well as for others.

Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be. Enjoy the previous posts...thanks for the comments on the Easter slideshow.

Namaste (Let us honor the love and peace within each other),

Energy Share for Sunday
April 5, 2009

By LoveFromWales

Today I chose to share with you another energizing video. I was feeling tired and worn out from all the family gatherings...funerals, baby showers, birthdays... especially the past 2 days and everybody was up into the wee hours. There's a great shift of energy here with everyone on the move, many who are coping with the losses of family members, jobs, and homes. And Palauans are a pretty tight knit community... seems like we're all related somehow...cousins, aunts or uncles. But it's the best place you'd want to be during times of significant change.

So I've embedded the energy boost in this video to fill you with joy, love and laughter. To give you the strength to carry on. I was certainly amused when I first saw this video...not exactly the sort of music or video I'd play for meditation or healing. But it certainly helped remind me what I like to do sometimes when I'm feeling tired and need a boost. And in the immortal words of the video's creator, "When you're feeling down, just dance around!"

And so I did.

I hope it will do the same for you...no need to think, or wonder, or doubt...no room for ego, or pretension, or complication. Forget the dance shoes and dance with me. Just Dance! The boost will be there for as long and as much as you need it.

I gratefully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms. Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be. Thanks again and enjoy the previous posts...especially the slideshows for my sister's birthday this past Friday.

Namaste (Let us honor the love and peace within each other),

Lydia

P.S. Thanks to those of you who replied to the slideshows. Luv yu! ^-^

A PEACEFUL MOMENT

I came across this beautiful relaxing meditation video on YouTube featuring music from the album "Lunar Khandro" and posted by Astronomy Records.com. Here it is for you with the energy boost embedded within it. So that each day as you watch this video you will feel at peace within yourself and all around you. Allow yourself to just sit and get quiet. Then turn off your phone, close your eyes, and listen to it again. The boost will be there for as long and as much as you need it.

I gratefully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms. Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be. Thanks again and enjoy the previous posts.

Thanks also for all your birthday wishes and kudos on the share. I posted another silly slideshow with my virtual tea & party message (guess what that one's about...).

Unfortunately, we have not been celebrating here since we've attended 2 more funerals, one which was in Arizona yesterday. So I'm grateful we are all here to celebrate our human experiences with each other. Aloha kakou pumehana a e mahalo piko (Hawai'ian - Lotsa love with warmth between us all and thank you from the depths of my heart). Ng meral suebk a renguk er kemiu (Palauan - My heart is touched by all of you).

Namaste (Let us honor the love and peace within each other),

The time that my journey takes is long
and the way of it long.

I came out on the chariot of the first
gleam of light, and pursued my voyage
through the wilderness of worlds leaving
my track on many a star and planet.

It is the most distant course that comes
nearest to thyself, and that training is the
most intricate which leads to the utter
simplicity of a tune.

The traveler has to knock at every alien
door to come to his own, and one has to
wander through all the outer worlds to
reach the innermost shrine at the end.

My eyes strayed far and wide before I
shut them and said, "Here art thou!"

The question and the cry, "Oh, where?"
melt into tears of a thousand streams and
deluge the world with the flood of the
assurance, "I am!"

By Rabindranath Tagore, Gitanjali

Another week of mostly clear, bright days with the occasional early morning rain (sound like the weatherman, don't I? ^-^). And from my kitchen window shimmery views of the mountains, the trees singing softly in harmony with the birds to my song. I am at my most connected to the earth chanting your names, watching them ripple in the wind.

I've send the energy boost to help you steer your way clear of confusion and frustration, to give you strength to weather any storm, and maintain lightness in spirit to float above the fray. Let it fill you with joy, love and laughter, with many sudden urges to hug somebody and perform random acts of kindness. The boost will be there for as long and as much as you need it.

I gratefully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms. Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be. Thanks again and enjoy the previous posts.

All the Hemispheres

Leave the familiar for a while.

Let your senses and bodies stretch out
Like a welcomed season
Onto the meadows and shores and hills.

Open up to the Roof.
Make a new water-mark on your excitement
And love.

Like a blooming night flower,
Bestow your vital fragrance of happiness
And giving
Upon our intimate assembly.

Change rooms in your mind for a day.
All the hemispheres in existence
Lie beside an equator
In your heart.

Greet Yourself
In your thousand other forms
As you mount the hidden tide and travel
Back home.

All the hemispheres in heaven
Are sitting around a fire
Chatting
While stitching themselves together
Into the Great Circle inside of
You.

'The Subject Tonight is Love' by Hafiz
Translated by Daniel Ladinsky

Here's another favorite Sufi poet and it felt right to send this as inspiration for the energy boost I send you today. Hafiz, like all Sufi poets, expresses in poetry love for the divine and the intoxicating oneness of union. It's the passionate energy of the poetry that is so uplifting and enlightening that I have placed it into the boost.

Fill yourself in every moment with loving kindness, confidence, strength and inspiration for your journey. Let it give you clarity and depth of mind to see the truth, strength for positive action, and lightness to find humor in even the most desperate of times. The boost will be there for as long and as much as you need it.

Yesterday I finally met with the owner of the medi-spa (refer to my previous post: Mega Mixer Special Event-S.P.A. and Reiki) and hope to work there doing energy healing, aromatherapy and teaching chi kung and meditation. S.P.A. uses ionic water devices, dry sauna, massage beds among other things, and will also have in their employ a hypnotherapist and reflexologist(http://www.gotomyspa.org/). The big challenge now is getting reliable transportation since my regular transport service doesn't go to this particular neck of the woods in Riverside County. They say they service Corona, they just don't go to this shopping center where the spa is. Go figure, it's a government-run service, so what else can I say? LOL! But I am very excited about this opportunity to provide my services and be fully supported in my healing practice.

And speaking of being supported, Karen, the owner, has talked about bringing in guest speakers in the future. So if any of you have plans to visit to southern California, keep it mind, I'll be posting more on that later.

Anyhow, the energy boost was a big help to me this past week...one of those Murphy's Law, static electricity things. So I am grateful to you being a part of this share and raising the vibrations of all in our little community. I love you guys!!! Thanks again and enjoy the previous posts.

Namaste (Let us honor the love and peace within each other),

Look at Love...

Look at Love...
how it tangles
with the one fallen in love

look at spirit
how it fuses with earth
giving it new life

why are you so busy
with this or that or good or bad
pay attention to how things blend

why talk about all
the known and the unknown
see how unknown merges into the known

why think separately
of this life and the next
when one is born from the last

look at your heart and tongue
one feels but deaf and dumb
the other speaks in words and signs

look at water and fire
earth and wind
enemies and friends all at once

the wolf and the lamb
the lion and the deer
far away yet together

look at the unity of this
spring and winter
manifested in the equinox

you too must mingle my friends
since the earth and the sky
are mingled just for you and me

be like sugarcane
sweet yet silent
don't get mixed up with bitter words

my beloved grows
right out of my own heart
how much more union can there be

Translated by Nader Khalili

Rumi is one of my all-time favorite poets and I am always inspired by his passionate words of the blissful spiritual connection with the Beloved. So I posted this one as inspiration for the energy boost I send you today. Let his words and Steve Rother's message help us to continue on to the next level of personal growth, communication and interaction.

Allow the energy of the boost to fill you with loving kindness, confidence, strength and inspiration for your journey. And fill you with joy knowing that great blessings are coming to you every day. The boost will be there for as long and as much as you need it.

I gratefully acknowledge and embrace the boost from you. Thank you for all you do as healers and friends. Enjoy the previous posts.

And by the way, my birthday is coming up on the 27th. So don't be surprised if you see an evite for a global tea and chocolate party. I'm knocking around a few ideas to post for this one to celebrate not just mine, but everybody who is a March baby as well.

Namaste (Let us honor the love and peace within each other),
