In times of superficiality and exteriority, we need to learn to look into ourselves, and truly listening to music is a great way of doing this. Music is a trustable friend that can save you even in your darkest moments.
James Rhodes is one of the most important concert piano players of our times and a great innovator of classical music. He has been the subject of documentaries for BBC and Channel 4, he writes for The Guardian and performs in concerts all around the world. His Sunday Times and international bestselling memoir, Instrumental, published by Canongate, is a brutally honest, moving, and compelling story that was almost banned until the Supreme Court unanimously overthrew an injunction in May 2015.

Every now and then I'll catch bits of this show and find a few performers that show great talent. This is the first year I've watched an entire season and was truly impressed by the finalists.
I have no doubt even Zucaroh will have a show of their own. Tyra was right to choose them as her Golden Buzzer...

The AXIS Dance Company is based on Oakland, California. And when I lived in southern California, I desperately wanted to attend their classes and workshops. Who knows, maybe even audition for the company... My one biggest regret seeing what I was missing.

Divide from Guest Artistic Director Marc Brew, draws inspiration from visual artist Carl Andre's designs working in minimalism: Spill, 8 cuts and Copper Ribbon. Divide is an abstract work exploring the divide in human interaction in movement, space and time. This is Brew's first full piece with the company in his role of Guest Artistic Director. The UK-based choreographer first worked with AXIS in 2011 when the company enjoyed a huge success with his Full of Words, which went on to become a favorite on the company's tours.
Axis Dance Company is devoted to changing to the face of Dance and Disability- challenging the idea of what, and who, dancers are.

The quality of this live video isn't the greatest, but I've been inspired by Steve Martin's banjo playing and his love of bluegrass music. I'm planning to add a few of his award winning albums to my collection.
These 3 brothers are an amazing trio who just fell in love with bluegrass music as young boys. The name of their group 'Sleepy Man' was inspired by the youngest brother who used to play the banjo laying down with his eyes closed...
While they started off with traditional bluegrass and just performed instrumental music, the boys eventually evolved into writing original songs. They're a new discovery for me, and I'm a huge fan... :)
