How to Live Happily on 75 Percent Less
To pick up extra cash, Goerz took a temporary job handing out fliers touting the benefits of public transportation in the San Francisco subway system. Occasionally she'd bump into people she knew from her former job as a creative producer for a Bay Area communications company. "They're in their corporate clothes," she recalls, "and I'm in this silly T-shirt and hat. 'Cathy, is that you?' they'd ask. 'What are you doing here?' Ugh."
The Great Recession--which is technically over, economists insist--may be morphing into a broader epoch: the Great Humbling. Millions of Americans who felt prosperous just a few years ago are now coping with long-term unemployment, sharp cutbacks in living standards, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and a deep sense of failure. That could persist for years. "This is not like earlier recessions, where things fell, then they bounced back to where they used to be," says Dennis Jacobe, chief economist for the Gallup polling organization. "We haven't seen this before. It's the only time this has happened since the Great Depression."

Is Your Front Door Sabotaging Your Success?
by Rupal Mehta Turner
An expert Classical Feng Shui consultant will be able to tell about 75% of what's happening in your life by analyzing your front entrance, bedroom and kitchen. Sounds unbelievable, but it's not. Advanced Classical Feng Shui formulas can forecast the impact these areas will have on occupants of the home. The more people who pass through a doorway, the more active the flow of energy and the more influential the door becomes. While these calculations are tied to the unique energy makeup of you and your home, these general principles can help you ensure that your front door radiates positive energy:
1. Your front door creates a first impression for you and others who enter. A home with a welcoming entrance will put visitors at ease and attract good fortune. The path leading to your doorway should be clear and open so that there are no obstacles blocking the flow of energy into your home. Remove old newspapers, garden hoses, bicycles, overgrown or dead plants and trees. Keeping the path open allows good opportunities to flow into your life. Also clean away any cobwebs. Having an attractive doormat, and planting lush flowers and plants along the walkway and near the front entrance encourages good energy to enter your home and makes your home more inviting.
2. A front door that opens clockwise into the home channels more energy inside. All doors should open fully and easily. Remove anything placed behind a door that doesn't allow it to open completely. Re-consider any self-closing mechanisms - or anything that lets a door open or close automatically: your door should symbolize that you are in control. Are you feeling beset by one obstacle after another? Get out your oil can and eliminate any squeaks, creaks or locks that are hard to open. Repair and spruce up your front door as soon it shows any of these signs of wear and tear.
3. A solid front door is better than a glass door and provides more protection and support. Glass paneling above the door is okay. Your house number or name should be clearly visible. Positioning the individual numbers of your address on an upward slant is auspicious too. The clearer the identification, the better it is for your career, recognition and an active social life.
4. Your front door should be proportionate in size to the home. If it is too large, it can cause financial difficulty and opportunities to be lost. If it is too small, it can create discord within the family. Also, if the front door is made up of two panel sections, then they should be equal in size and color.
5. Your front door should not face churches, cemeteries or funeral homes. These places illicit a tremendous amount of yin energy and can potentially cause depression, illness, fears and the potential for financial loss. You can plant bushes, small trees or add a retaining wall to obstruct the view from these unfortunate sites. However, do not plant a single tree directly in line with your front door since it will block beneficial energy from entering your home.6. Your front door should not face telephone poles or sharp corners (known as poison arrows) from neighboring rooftops or buildings. The electromagnetic voltage emanating from electrical stations or telephone poles can cause health difficulties. And poison arrows pointing at your front door can cause bad luck, illness amongst children or even problems in career or business. While it is best to avoid such an entrance, you can plant small trees to block the view. A more expensive cure would be to reorient the front door.
7. Your front entrance should not face a narrow gap between two buildings. If so, it can potentially cause your savings to be squandered away. In both authentic Feng Shui and Vaastu, what you see is what you get. So, no "gaps" and neither should your front door face a dumpster or garbage heap -- not even one that is far away. (I know this seems like common sense but just recently I saw a few homes facing this.) By hiding the view, you will minimize the negative effects coming from an adverse site. Plant small bushes or add a small retaining wall to cover up any such sight.
8. Your front door should preferably open into a large bright foyer or a living room. It should feel warm and welcoming. You should not be greeted by a wall when entering your home. On a subconscious level, it is as if you are daily walking into a wall which is blocking you as you try to move forward in life. Place a picture on this wall that has depth and dimension to it. You could place a mirror on a side wall but do not place a mirror directly in front of the main door.
9. In Asian countries, people will take off their shoes just inside the front entrance. Just imagine all the dust, dirt and dead energy our shoes bring into our home. Taking shoes off not only keeps your home purer, it keeps you more grounded to your home's beneficial earth energies. As C. Jung said, "When you walk with naked feet, how can you forget the earth." If you do remove your shoes when entering your home, keep them in a closet rather than blocking the front entrance. Culturally, westerners may not have the same outlook. So it is important then to at least clean and replace your doormat regularly since it also absorbs dirt, dust and stagnant energy.
10. If you enter through your garage door or another side entrance, then that door serves as your main entrance. The first place you come into when entering your home influences your state of mind. It is important than that this area also be clean and organized. Place a welcome sign in the garage or greet yourself with an inspirational photo or saying that makes you smile. Paint the room an attractive color and beautify this space just as you would the formal entrance.
In essence, the experience of entering your home should be like meeting a best friend -- one who is warm, welcoming and ready to support you and put you at ease. By making the adjustments recommended above, your warm, welcoming entrance will help attract good fortune to your home.

The Truth About You: Your Secret to Success
by Marcus Buckingham
Just released in September 2008, this book-and-DVD package teaches a process to help you develop the kind of clarity you need to discover your passion that drives a successful and satisfying life.
In a recent tv interview, Marcus Buckingham talks about how identifying and prioritizing personal strengths can be invaluable in creating higher satisfaction and performance at home and work. When a depressed economy causes anxiety and worry, people begin to question how to stay employed, Buckingham says to first ask yourself what your strengths are. Rather than looking to build your network outside of work just in case you lose your job, "double down", he says. Get focused, get productive utilizing your strengths and get that reputation of being indispensible. Because the first person to get cut is the person who psychologically has checked out and is looking out and over the fence, so to speak.
Initially, people seem to believe that strengths are what you're good at and weaknesses are what you're bad at. And if that's true, then you're probably not the best judge of what you're strengths are. Because I'm sure there are PLENTY of things that we're good at but absolutely hate doing.
So try discovering your strengths in a different way. You'll find that they actually present themselves during activities that make you feel strong.
Start by paying attention to the activities you are drawn to doing during a regular week. You'll find those strengths when you're doing something and time just seems to fly by. When you can focus and identify those strengths, then you can build on them, become more productive using them which improves your overall performance and ultimately become more satisfied with what you are doing.
Buckingham says, and I totally agree, that we are all hardwired to love certain things and be absolutely PASSIONATE about them. So when you find what your passions are, that is where your work should be. Otherwise, you'll just be miserable if you're not doing what you love everyday. And especially when you're doing what you don't love 40, 50, or 60 hours a week!
Finding the Silver Lining
In tough economic times when you're really feeling buried by the weight and the stress of it all, and you're thinking, "How am I going to get out?", it's hard to see that bright spot, the silver lining around your dark cloud.
But what's important to realize in times like this and, really, during any other time, is that life is like a series of sprints. Not all stress is bad, but stress without any recovery is bad. And the process of a successful sprint is stess, recover, stress, recover.
The Silver Lining represents the opportunities that become apparent during times of stress. Allow yourself to change your perspective; mentally step back and see your circumstances in a different light. Look at how they may present those perfect opportunities that you need to either sprint forward or recover. For example, with the high cost of gas people are more inclined to go out less - which could mean more time with family, more time to pay attention to them and get to know them more. Spend an hour with your kids doing something that they absolutely love to do - video games, board games, outdoor games....anything.

When folks request remote energy healing, I often suggest complementing the healing and personal growth process with in-home behavior modification. When a person develops mental patterns and beliefs that are limiting and create unhealthy situations and relationships, the first response is often to reach for a quick fix to remedy the symptoms but which doesn't cure the cause. There are alternatives to reaching for the magic pill and don't require long term and expensive treatments.
One of the best mental success conditioning programs I've found online is from Mike Brescia, founder of Think Right Now Publishing and Instant Inner Power Success Conditioning Programs. Checkout what he has to say and learn how a change in your mental perspective can truly change your life...
Watching a TV show last night, and practically every commercial during the hour-long program was about some type of pharmaceutical product - except for the odd Windex commercial. You know the ones. Magic pills to end your depression, improve your sex life, sleep through the night, stop acid reflux - even help those "restless legs." OK, granted, there are people who have symptoms now and who want relief now, immediately without doing one thing that may be good for them. They just want relief. But how many pills does the average 50 year-old need to take? Are people just sicker these days, or what?
The truth is... No, people aren't any sicker than they were say, 20 years ago. But people ARE a lot more stressed out. Our research shows that damaging self-talk, negative thoughts and self-defeating beliefs and attitudes place enormous physical stress on the body. As a result, the body is many times more likely to break down and develop physical problems (Mental Pattern of Failure #11). Stress from and undeveloped coping mechanisms have proven to create everything from headaches, diarrhea, infections, and hair loss to IBS, heart problems, high blood pressure, immune problems ... the list is practically endless. University studies even show that 90% of all disease is stress related... Stress from poor diet to poor coping skills.
So if you haven't been able to feel as healthy and energetic as you'd like... so if it seems you're frequently sick or tired and can't understand why ... then you're probably a victim of your own destructive thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes. "90% of all sickness and disease..."
They are holding you back just as effectively as if someone chained you to a mountain. And until you gain the ability to shrink and eliminate unsupportive thought processes, you'll continue to look and feel like "you-know-what" no matter how many gadgets, pills, self-help books, or gadgets you buy.
To create circumstance in your life that you want, and to feel great physically and mentally, you must have a way to replace all the negative code with the beliefs, attitudes, and thoughts of people who do what you want to do and who feel how you want to feel... and who do so effortlessly, naturally. You can do it. It does NOT have to take years of emotionally difficult therapy or expensive pharmaceutical cocktails.

Inner Peace Philosophy
How Deliberate Creators Propogate Peace
by Elyse Hope Killoran
Author of "Prosperity From The Inside Out"
1. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
you feel guided to take your focus off the external world. Deliberate Creators know that we are, at all moments, creating our future. Some of us are doing this creating 'deliberately' while others, by getting caught up in the swirl of events that surround us, are doing this creation 'by default'.
Which do you choose: to create deliberately or by default?
2. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
in relationship with others, you strive to bring the focus to areas of harmony and agreement instead of conflict and discord. Deliberate Creators appreciate that what we resist, persists, and therefore make thoughtful determinations of where attention should be placed.
Which relationships in your life could benefit from a short time spent focusing on areas of agreement?
3. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
you let go of the idea that you can only feel peaceful when everything around you is going a certain way and instead, recognize that you have the power within you to choose to experience peace.
Who (or what) have you allowed to destroy your sense of peace - and how can you reclaim it?
4. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
you notice that, when someone 'pushes your buttons', instead of expending your energy trying to get the other person to change, you search inside yourself and ask, 'what happened inside me that led me to react that way to you?' Whenever we feel a painful emotion (anger, resentment, jealousy, fear, depression, desire for vengeance, grief) this simply means that someone has activated one of our wounds and a powerful opportunity for healing lies right in front of us.
The next time you find that your 'buttons' have been pushed, where will you focus your attention -- inward or outward?
5. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
you find yourself put off by anti-war demonstrations and the notion of judging and condemning the players in a dispute. Deliberate Creators understand that we cannot be engaged in a battle and be a source for peace at the same time.
Where are you investing your energy -- in a battle against war or in a commitment to peace?
6. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
you find yourself focusing on what you are wanting instead of what you are not wanting. Deliberate Creators recognize that what we focus on expands and they give careful thought as to what they want to have expand in their lives.
What in the world would you like to see expand?
7. You'll know that you are Deliberately Creating Peace when...
instead of praying for an outside force to bring peace to others, you commit to being one who radiates peace from within.
Are you ready to become a source of Peace?

"It requires some effort to achieve a happy outlook on life, and most people don't make it."
—Author and researcher Gregg Easterbrook
Psychologists have recently handed the keys to happiness to the public, but many people cling to gloomy ways out of habit, experts say.
Polls show Americans are no happier today than they were 50 years ago despite significant increases in prosperity, decreases in crime, cleaner air, larger living quarters and a better overall quality of life.
So what gives?
Happiness is 50 percent genetic, says University of Minnesota researcher David Lykken. What you do with the other half of the challenge depends largely on determination, psychologists agree. As Abraham Lincoln once said, "Most people are as happy as they make up their minds to be."
What works, and what doesn't
Happiness does not come via prescription drugs, although 10 percent of women 18 and older and 4 percent of men take antidepressants, according to the Department of Health and Human Services. Anti-depressants benefit those with mental illness but are no happiness guarantee, researchers say.
Be Happy
University of Pennsylvania’s Martin Seligman offers questionnaires for assessing your happiness, beating depression and developing insights into how to be happier on his web site.
Nor will money or prosperity buy happiness for many of us. Money that lifts people out of poverty increases happiness, but after that, the better paychecks stop paying off sense-of-well-being dividends, research shows.
One route to more happiness is called "flow," an engrossing state that comes during creative or playful activity, psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi has found. Athletes, musicians, writers, gamers, and religious adherents know the feeling. It comes less from what you're doing than from how you do it.
Sonja Lyubomirsky of the University of California at Riverside has discovered that the road toward a more satisfying and meaningful life involves a recipe repeated in schools, churches and synagogues. Make lists of things for which you're grateful in your life, practice random acts of kindness, forgive your enemies, notice life's small pleasures, take care of your health, practice positive thinking, and invest time and energy into friendships and family.
The happiest people have strong friendships, says Ed Diener, a psychologist University of Illinois. Interestingly his research finds that most people are slightly to moderately happy, not unhappy.
On your own
Some Americans are reluctant to make these changes and remain unmotivated even though our freedom to pursue happiness is written into the preamble of the Declaration of Independence.
Don't count on the government, for now, Easterbrook says.
Our economy lacks the robustness to sustain policy changes that would bring about more happiness, like reorienting cities to minimize commute times.
The onus is on us.
"There are selfish reasons to behave in altruistic ways," says Gregg Easterbrook, author of "The Progress Paradox: How Life Gets Better While People Feel Worse" (Random House, 2004).
"Research shows that people who are grateful, optimistic and forgiving have better experiences with their lives, more happiness, fewer strokes, and higher incomes," according to Easterbrook. "If it makes world a better place at same time, this is a real bonus."
Diener has collected specific details on this. People who positively evaluate their well-being on average have stronger immune systems, are better citizens at work, earn more income, have better marriages, are more sociable, and cope better with difficulties.
Unhappy by default
Lethargy holds many people back from doing the things that lead to happiness.
Easterbrook, also a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institute, goes back to Freud, who theorized that unhappiness is a default condition because it takes less effort to be unhappy than to be happy.
"If you are looking for something to complain about, you are absolutely certain to find it," Easterbrook told LiveScience. "It requires some effort to achieve a happy outlook on life, and most people don't make it. Most people take the path of least resistance. Far too many people today don't make the steps to make their life more fulfilling one."

Energy Share for Sunday
June 1, 2008
AND a man said, Speak to us of Self-Knowledge.
And he answered, saying:
Your hearts know in silence the secrets
of the days and the nights.
But your ears thirst for the sound of
your heart's knowledge.
You would know in words that which
you have always known in thought.
You would touch with your fingers the
naked body of your dreams.
And it is well you should.
The hidden well-spring of your soul must
needs rise and run murmuring to the sea;
And the treasure of your infinite depths
would be revealed to your eyes.
But let there be no scales to weigh your
unknown treasure;
And seek not the depths of your knowledge
with staff or sounding line.
For self is a sea boundless and measureless.
Say not, "I have found the truth," but
rather, "I have found a truth."
Say not, "I have found the path of the soul."
Say rather, "I have met the soul walking
upon my path."
For the soul walks upon all paths.
The soul walks not upon a line, neither
does it grow like a reed.
The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of
countless petals.

The Amazing Power of the Human Mind (Updated)
This chapter follows on from the previous ones on our thoughts and attitudes, affirmations and self image. As we have seen, our minds control absolutely everything about us - our total 'persona' (impressive word that!). It has an effect on everything that I have written about already: our potential for success, goal-setting, self image, our thoughts, attitude, etc.
The mind is like a parachute - it only works when it's opened.
OUR THOUGHTS AND THE MIND:
Like the author of 'Mindpower' (on which this chapter is based), John Kehoe, I too withdrew "from civilisation" into enforced seclusion for three or four years. His excellent book, as well as many others, led me to intensive study and contemplation of the inner workings of the human mind. Kehoe, a very successful public speaker, studied the mind, as well as ways of harnessing it's immense forces to create new realities for every one of us.
Like a magnifying glass, strong and concentrated thoughts are strong and concentrated forces.
You can develop them and they become more and more powerful. What determines the course of your individual life? It is your deeply held beliefs, your passions, your values, your fears, your hopes, worries, attitudes and desires. In short, every thought you ever think (or thought in the past) has (or has had) some effect on yourself and on other people.
They usually determine why you are in the place (situation) you are currently in.
Just wanting something badly enough, will not in itself make it happen for you; DESIRE on its own is not everything.
We also need WILL... to make it happen. I believe we all need to TAKE CONSTRUCTIVE ACTION and perhaps change our attitudes about our goals, our targets.
You will always remain where you are unless you change your thinking.
Time for a few quotations (I like my quotes)...
"Do what you've always done and you'll get what (where) you always got".
"To them that hath...more shall be given. To them that hath not, even what little they have will be taken away" - The Bible...Luke 19..26
Is that why luck always seem to favour the wealthy? Or does their positive attitude attract good fortune? Fortune favours the brave.
"Be bold and unseen forces come to your aid." I like that one!
"Your belief determines your action and your action determines your results, but first you have to believe." - Mark Victor Hansen
BELIEVE, truly believe you WILL be successful.
I think any successful person has a SUCCESS CONSCIOUSNESS or a PROSPERITY CONSCIOUSNESS. Those people have the "knack" of seeing things differently to the majority of us. In short, they view optimistically every situation they may find themselves in, no matter how distressing it may be, and they see it as an opportunity for growth or learning.
Remember it is not your situation and circumstances that keep you stuck "down in the depths of despair", but your thoughts.
You have chosen your consciousness, your REALITY. So it's up to YOU to change your perception of a certain event, ie., the meaning you give to a negative. Successful people have a positive outlook and see some good in any situation, no matter how bad it appears at first.
It's very hard to think positive thoughts when you are in the depths of despair, in the bottom of a deep dark pit with no light at the end of the tunnel, just sheer blackness. It's perfectly natural to feel hopeless at times, even for a "born optimist"!
What can you do to get out of a bad situation, to improve your quality of life?
Firstly, ask yourself what do you want out of life? For most of us the answers are: health, power, recognition of success, prosperity (= financial security) and happiness. At least that's what people say they want.
Once you have defined them, then take the decision to put in the effort and you will attain it; everything else will fall into place. Simple!
The mind is an amazing tool with a power all of its own. We don't realize it's capacity, until we start stretching ourselves by utilizing our imagination (like a rubber-band and then we are still only using a fraction of it's potential capacity). It is like a sponge, the way it can absorb negative "vibes" (attitudes). However, and more importantly, your mind is like a garden which can be cultivated or neglected. As the gardener, you will reap the harvest of your work or neglect your mind by not using it properly *.
From our thoughts spring our reality; consequently our thoughts determine the outcomes of our lives. Thus, our beliefs create our behaviors... and our behaviors create our experience.
From the ideas we hold in the "top two inches" of our heads our future emerges. So
MANAGE YOUR THINKING ..
AND YOU CONTROL YOUR LIFE
Be happy as the ride "the rapids of life"

N.B.: Always remember,
YOUR MIND CREATES YOUR REALITY.
"Man is mind
and evermore he takes the tool of thought
and, shaping what he wills,
brings forth a thousand joys,
a thousand ills.
He thinks in secret
and it comes to pass -
Environment is but his looking glass." - anon

My Heart is Receptive to the Promptings of Spirit
I am a creator engaged in a creative relationship with the world within me and around me. As I create my inner world, my outer world responds in kind. As I establish peace, prosperity and joy within my heart, these things are manifest in my outer reality.
This week I decided to share with you some of the meaningful insights I get through several weekly newsletters, one of which is from Burt Goldman, and a recommendation from Brian Yeates of the 10 Million Clicks for Peace site. His message in the Subject Line: "World Peace by Internet" says it all for me. Checkout the site and please pass on your thoughts about it.
Today I send to you golden spirals of sparkling light, infusing you with joy, peaceful and empowering energy. Thank you all so much for being a part of this share and I gratefully receive the boost from you with open arms.
Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.
Namaste (I honor the place in you which is of Love, of Truth, of Light and of Peace),

What is Love?
by Keith Varnum
My mentor's questions fuel my desire to explore -- and embody -- what love really is. How does a person "love well?"
One of my favorite role models of love is Mr. Rogers of the Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood TV show. By example, he illustrates how we can express authentic love in ways that uplift people. He's probably still at the Pearly Gates answering the question, "How well did you love?" After the way he lived his life, he must have a lot to share.
Even though Mr. Rogers has passed on, his show continues to be a resource for how to "love well." On each program Mr. Rogers demonstrates how to be kind, open, humorous, flexible and compassionate. He displays honest emotions and walks his talk. He supports everyone just as they are - and at the same time, knows they are greater than their limiting beliefs!
Four Key Elements of Love
This "Master of Love" weaves his magic by modeling these four essential elements of real love:
1. Be intuitive. Use your heart - not your rational mind - to know what's really going on with other people. When a child screams at his parents, "I hate you!" the parents intuitively know that the child feels hurt, afraid or upset. Often parents respond by talking calmly with the child until they discover the cause of the flare-up. Adults also say words they don't mean when they feel hurt, fearful or confused. When we use our hearts - not our logic - to respond to emotional outbursts from others, we offer more compassionate and helpful assistance.
2. Uplift energy. In any human interaction, the greatest service we can perform for others and ourselves is to increase the aliveness of every person involved. Raising the energy and vitality of people and activities makes living more meaningful and fun. Observe if the other person feels better after the interaction? Is their enjoyment of an activity enhanced by your involvement?
3. Foster freedom. Do you give people the space to follow their spirit? Can you let go of hopin' and wishin' that others will change? On a deep unconscious level, people can sense even the slightest degree of your wanting them to be different. When people feel unaccepted, they close their hearts to protect themselves. Then you experience feeling shut out, disconnected, alone. To open the door to love, give others the freedom to be just the way they are.
4. Notice results. Pay attention to what people do - not to what people say they will do. People's actions reveal their true intentions. Some people interact in loving ways, yet don't use the words of kindness we expect to hear. These truly compassionate folks may not verbally express love well, but they demonstrate care-fullness with every action they take. Other people talk a good game, but their actions show that they aren't truly caring. These less-than-compassionate people can woo us with all the right terminology, but the truth is disclosed when they fail to follow through. Don't let words fool or confuse you. Watch what folks do!
Loving Yourself
"You can't give someone something that you don't possess. Therefore, you can't give someone something that you haven't first given to yourself," my spiritual mentor accurately observes.
It's impossible to give love to another person without loving yourself first. Without an authentic personal experience of love to draw from, you can only share a vague idea of what love is.
If you practice the four elements of love, you'll have a personal experience of love to impart to others. Check out the four elements of love from a more personal point of view. Ask yourself:
1. "Do I use my intuition with myself? When I feel emotional, do I explore deeper to find out what's really going on? Am I kind to myself?"
2. "Do the people and projects I chose to be involved with enhance my joy of being alive? Do I increase my vitality by the way I live my life? Or do I waste my energy on people and ventures that lower my zest for living?"
3. "Do I give myself the freedom to follow my heart? To express my spirit? Or do I close my own heart by judging myself, wishing I was different?"
4. "Do I actually do what I say I'm going to do? Do I actively create more abundance and happiness for myself or only talk about building a better life? Do I fool myself by talking a good game yet never taking action?"
The more you embody the essential qualities of love, the more you can assist others to be happy.

The torch signals joy and victory. The torches of the early Hawaiians were fueled with dried kukui nuts enclosed in ti leaves secured to a bamboo handle. Kukui nuts were used for light, navigation, medicine, divination, and many other purposes. Kukui represents spirit revealing itself, enlightenment. Lamaku o ka na'auao (torch of wisdom) is the name given to great thinkers.
Lamaku symbolizes the joy of victory over all obstacles that diminish the wisdom of enlightenment. Anything that keeps you from experiencing unlimited vision and well being is an obstacle, including the desire for material gain or spiritual progress.
Lamaku encourages you to celebrate the material world without clinging to it. Develop your spirituality without losing touch with the physical and natural worlds. This will facilitate a state of balance that allows your inner light, or kukui, to flow through your pu'uwai (heart) transforming personal biological, emotional, and mental energies into a universal love energy.
This Love Energy manifests in a life of service guided by true spiritual vision, prophetic speech and healing power.
Become awakened and fully conscious by paying close attention to all things, ideas, or persons that seem to pull you off balance or trap you into extreme negative or positive emotional states. Approach all obstacles with an open heart.
Calling on the pulsing flames of fire and light, I send out to you all the energy and love you need at this time. Revel in the boost of energy I send to you while I joyfully welcome the boost from you with open arms. With heartfelt gratitude, I thank you for being a part of this energy share. Please enjoy the previous posts on balance, awakening, and prosperity.
Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.

Secrets Of Prosperity
2. Happiness; for a determination simply to be happy attracts prosperity. Happiness is, at the same time, the best definition of prosperity.
3. Generosity; for by sharing with others the good that life gives us we can open up the well-springs of abundance.
4. Including the good of all in your own quest for abundance.
5. Recognition of the part you play in the great Symphony of Life. For Life will sustain you, if you attune yourself to its harmonics.
6. Working with, not against, life's changing rhythms.
7. Looking behind the obstacles you face in life, to the opportunities they represent.
8. Seeing failure as a corrective, not as a misfortune.
9. To diversify, not your financial investments merely, as monetary counsellors recommend, but more importantly - your investments of energy. Cultivate fresh ideas, fresh interests, fresh relationships, fresh reasons for enjoying your life.
10. Faith; in yourself, in others, in Life's abundance.
11. To break the hypnosis of self-limitation. The heights that any person has attained can be attained again by others - by anyone, each in his or her own way - given enough time, dedication and focused energy.
12. Not to fritter energy away with trivial desires. A leaking tap, drop by drop, wastes many litres.
13. Finding pleasure in simplicity.
14. Holding positive expectations, supported by a dynamic will.
15. Recognising that people can be your best investment. Be a true friend to all.
16. Realising that what you own is held by you in trust. Treat it responsibly. If you squander it, the trust will pass to another.
17. Finding strength in yourself. Don't wait for passing waves to propel you forward.
18. Realising that one cannot truly prosper by the diminshment of others. Bless everyone. An expansion of self-identity is a mark of prosperity, and also a condition for its attainment.
19. Extending a willing hand to the needy, helping them, above all, to help themselves.
20. Common sense; don't depend on luck, but on a realistic assessment of whatever situation you face. Only in practical stages can you transform 'improbables' into realities.
21. To remember - the higher the mountain, the harder the effort needed to conquer it. Success is not for the weak-hearted, It is for those who never rest until they attain their ideals.
22. The willingness to sacrifice non-essentials for essentials.
23. To live in the present - not in past attainment, nor in future victories.
24. The patience to adjust action to reality. In every setback, try to understand what life is trying to teach you.
25. Envying no-one. View others' successes and failures empathically, as your own.
26. Inventiveness; success in any field demands the creative outlook of an artist.
27. To feed it daily with fresh, new ideas - lest, like a still pond, it stagnates.

of feeling the wings you've grown,
Aloha kakou! This week I'm sending you evites for my global chocolate and tea party and join me in celebrating another glorious birthday. 2007 marks my 41st birthday. But more than that, it marks the days of the continuing flow of abundant prosperity and fulfillment in my life. And especially of my continuing evolution as a spiritual being having a human experience in all the ways and things that I have created in this life. As Rumi says, I do so without complicated explanation, and I'm sure you understand quite well.
This week I am publishing a new healing and energy work site and, with your permission, would like to post testimonials from folks who have had attunements and coaching from me. And if you would just like to post a positive comment, that's accepted and appreciated as well.
Drawing on the energies of this clear and sunny day in southern California, I send out a radiant boost of energy to you with LOTS of aloha, light, and hugs. Help yourself to the boost I send to you and enjoy it fully. I joyfully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms. With heartfelt gratitude, I thank you for being a part of this energy share.
Please enjoy the previous posts - my friend's dance show in Hawai'i, and messages on success condition from Mike Brescia.

Energy Share for Sunday
February 25, 2007
The Universe Funds Me with Power and Protection
My consciousness is a fountain of good. As I pour forth positive energy, I change the world. Life is made of small moments which have a large impact. My positive belief and support can help to change the trajectory of a lifetime. As I mirror to others their true value and worth, I create a world in which all of us are more truly valued. I bless with dignity all those I encounter.
Blessings: Prayers and Declarations for a Heartful Life
