What is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an energetic healing system that uses affirmations and stimulates certain meridian energy points while a client is 'tuned in' to the problem. Founded by Gary Craig, EFT is based on the principle that "the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."

EFT is uses 4 ingredients in what Gary calls 'The Basic Recipe', starting with:

(1) repeating a setup affirmation statement,

(2) a sequence of finger tapping on certain meridian points,

(3) a series of brain stimulating actions, called the '9 Gamut Procedure', then

(4) repeating the tapping sequence again.

This recipe is done while you are thinking about, or 'tuned in' to, the problem. Thinking about the problem will bring about the energy disruptions involved which then....and only then....can be balanced by applying The Basic Recipe.

For the Recipe to work, it must be aimed at a specific problem. To do so the Setup statement is done first to help you focus on and neutralize that problem. It is especially critical to counter what Gary calls "Psychological Reversal". Psychological reversal is caused by self defeating, negative thinking which often occurs subconsciously and, when present, will stop any attempt at healing.

EFT provides relief for a wide variety of physical ailments which are often linked to emotional issues. Like Reiki, it is a gentle, non-invasive method that is easy to learn and can be used on oneself and even for distance healing. To find out more, click on my link to Gary Craig's site.
