Moonlight, Music & Other First Loves

1
Round, pure whiteness
Framed in a perfect image
Alone with the leafless trees
Alive and warm they remind me
I am alive

Mesmerizing moon and dark light
Residing in infinite space with millions of beings present
Beyond my capacity to see
Yet in faith I accept their existence

We are enclosed in the globe of energy and light
With mutual joy
And respect for our power to nurture
Words are unnecessary and unavailable to me anyway
For there are none
That can appropriately capture in my heart
The longing

2
Longing for the sweet music and warm air
On that night the moon and I held each other
Floating in the ocean’s sensuous pool
Surrounding us both in a timeless dance

Motionless yet moving
My heart orbits - flying, spiraling upward in a misty swirl to meet it
While the moon grasps me gently into its sinuous reflection
Dreamily admiring my full, soft milkiness
Like pudding in a cup

We beheld each other’s pleasures
There is no need to hurry
Heart cries in wonder, tears dribble and mingle with water
Face, self, and all ego melt away in total union
While tumbling forward in time

Our intimate scene plays out on my car window
Now snuggling in the moist heat
And resting on the gas pedal
My foot keeps time for all dancers
Who meet their partners for a momentary tryst

3
In perfect union
Deep yearnings merge with spoken promises

You are Only One and no other
Defining my travels alone
Along a path where I find You
Are my One and Only

No other can fulfill my dreams
On whose paths haunt me, it is You
The gentle escort hovering over me
At once and forever at Home with me

Only You

You

You

4
Round, pure whiteness
In a cloud of dust
Innocence destroyed

A thousand years ago to the moment You died
And infinite space remained between us

Yet in faith I believed in Your Return
And nurtured our Song
To call forth the forces for our reunion
In the next life and all our lives

Throughout eternity
