Hina, Moon Goddess
Nurturing

E Ku! E Hina! Na akua ho'okumu, ho'okawowo, ho'oulu, ho'ohua

O Ku! O Hina! The gods that bring into being, that cause to thrive, that cause to grow.

Hina is the goddess of the moon and of healing. The Hawaiian word hina means "gray". Gray is the color offered as an alternative to black-and-white absolutist thinking. Gray reminds us there are no certain answers, that the unknown is the basis of all creativity, and that we, like Hina, need to accept the unknown in order to discover and develop our full potential. This is not the time to focus on any goal or outcome; rather, submerse yourself fully in the gray light of uncertainty and the ebb and flow of emotion. Nurturing may require that you abandon the security of constraining schedules or relationships and ride the multi-colored rainbow of risk.

Hina can be a reminder that in order for something to grow, it needs to be nurtured. You must be able to nurture yourself before you can nurture someone or something else. Whether you are nurturing or being nurtured, the most important thing you can do is to allow yourself to feel. Also, be sure to allow yourself to get in touch with your creative and intuitive nature. You may find you need to create a time and/or space which is only for you, and allow yourself to feel, play, dance, be. Hawaiians chant to Hina while planting, for honoring Hina assures one of new growth.

Let's welcome 2 new participants in the share, Sandy Kolman and Hilary Bisaillon. Aloha, dear friends! Hilary now lives in Yorktown, Virginia as a result of Hurricane Katrina. It is a relief and a pleasure to hear of a success story after a difficult experience. Sandy does wire wrap jewelry and specializes in chakra jewelry. Anyone interested in checking out Sandy's jewelry let me know.

After a humourous message of Life Explained, I've posted some messages by Mike Brescia, founder of Think Right Now! Accelerated Success Conditioning Programs (thinkrightnow.com). I've used his release and affirmation messages which I play in the background on my desktop. We all use affirmations, declarative and release statements to define our intentions as we meditate and practice healing in our lives for ourselves and others. The scripts from Mike's site are very helpful in retraining your mental habits and behavior. I've recommended his website to other friends and they have also commented on the effectiveness of the products. So, I'm passing it on to you as well.

Thank you all for your continued participation in the share. I joyfully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms. I also send you a boost with LOTS of love, light, and hugs.

Help yourself to the boost I send to you and enjoy it fully. Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.

Namaste, (I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells)
