Mana (Power)
Empowerment

Mana i ka pua
Ua mohala malie

There is mana in the flower
that has blossomed slowly

Mana is the energy that flows through the universe, energy that is essential for life. Mana is a force that is neither good nor evil. Like energy it just "is". Also like energy, mana can be used to create order or chaos. The Hawaiian concept of mana is an expansive one. Rocks, plants, and places can contain mana; therefore, they are alive. Many Hawaiians believe that mana flows can be regulated and directed and that some forms contain more mana than others.

Personal power comes to those who develop their talents with patience and time. Empowered individuals seem to have a magical ability to make things happen. Westerners refer to this seemingly natural confidence and ability as charisma. Like mana, charisma is the power to lead or inspire others by manifesting an energy that makes an individual irresistible. Everyone has the potential to gain charisma by increasing mana.

Breathing meditation is one secret to increasing mana. Breathing meditation leads to the calmness of mind that enables one to be clear about how to make the best use of life energy.

When your mind is calm, you are able to perceive how the thoughts and actions of yourself and others affect your energy and experience. Mana flows in harmony with the universe. Calmness of body and clearness of vision allow you to tap into the universal supply of mana. When you tap into the power of the universe through your breath, you open yourself up to be filled with mana.

As mana empowers, enchants, flows, and radiates, so can you.

Well, thanks to the power of blog bugs, I haven't been able to post more photos from Veronica and Martyn. A month ago, I taught Veronica a simple technique to influence the weather and bring rain to the dry areas in Queensland, Australia. Soon after there were reports of rain and earlier this week Veronica sent photos of the clouds and rain in her area of Queensland. Now there is the manifested power of influence! Kudos to Veronica for all her effort to support the farmers and relieve the areas from 7 years of drought.

And a shot of my good friend Martyn Carroll, who is a medium living in the UK. He's currently publishing his book, 'Ten Questions for Tzui'. Tzui is a buddhist monk and one of the entities that Martyn channels. Anyone interested in chatting with Martyn on any number of topics is welcome to post a reply.

In any case, checkout the other inspiring posts from Mike Brescia and Sister Mary, along with a humourous message from another friend, Virgil. Virgil's wife is my hula teacher and great friend.

Drawing on the energies of this cold, sunny day I send out a radiant ball of light to you with LOTS of love, light, and hugs. Help yourself to the boost I send to you and enjoy it fully. With heartfelt gratitude, I thank you all for being a part of this energy share. I joyfully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms. Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.

Namaste, (I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells),

Lydia
