Energy Share for Sunday
January 21, 2007

Ke ahe makani o aloha.

The gently wafting breeze of aloha.

The word aloha is used to express greetings, farewells, or love. Hawai'ian kahuna (priest or expert) were taught to "live according to the secret meaning of aloha":

A, ala, watchful alertness
L, lokahi, working with unity
O, oia'i'o, truthful honesty
H, ha'aha'a, humility
A, ahonui, patient perseverance

Most of us seek to love and be loved, yet we often misunderstand the nature of love. It is easy to confuse love with desire and dependency. Powerful emotions can seduce us into needy behavior or to act in a way that might hurt someone else. A well-respected Hawai'ian kahuna, Daddy Bray, taught that to experience true love (aloha) you must be honest, truthful, patient, kind to all forms of life, humble, in harmony with your true self, God and all of humanity. It is difficult to maintain a spirit of aloha if we depend on others to make us feel fulfilled. What is often sugar-coated as love is nothing more than the desire for attachment or sexual gratification.

Be observant as you develop patience with yourself and others. Work toward harmony through understanding the nature of attachments.

Aloha is an unselfish, nurturing love that radiates calmness, acceptance, and warmth. It is strong and tender, a great gift to the world and to whomever it touches. Allow the spirit of aloha to shine from your soul.

Mana Cards: The Power of Hawai'ian Wisdom

Aloha kakou. I've posted the latest Beacons of Light message to honor all of you in this energy empowerment group and the magic we create between us in giving and receiving energy. It is a privilege and a pleasure to connect with you every week in creating this surge of concentrated energy. Checkout also the story of “Everybody’s Free to Wear Sunscreen”, how to keep you New Year's resolutions and pics of my uncle Rob's surprise 60th birthday party.

Drawing on the energies of this chilly, sunny day I send out a radiant boost of energy to you with LOTS of aloha, light, and hugs. Help yourself to the boost I send to you and enjoy it fully. With heartfelt gratitude, I thank you for being a part of this energy share. I joyfully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms.

Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.
