It's Shout-out Ketchup Time!!!

We've been so busy moving to the new house and getting ready for the holidays I've been way, way, way, behind sending out ecard and mailcard shout-outs to friends and family. And everybody's been on a mad dash to the store for new household appliances and housewares there's been little time for gift shopping. But, hey! Isn't it great that we have the means to do all these things with the economy as it is?? So... for all that, here’s some of the shout-outs I've gotten hung up on and with all the crossed wires and technically disabled thingamajiggys that happen (before, during, and after the move!!!):

  • Happy Belated Bday to Brent!!! It's the Big Man's 13th Bday last Friday the 12th. Since we were in the middle of packing up from one end of Moreno Valley to the other, there was no chance to party with him. But he did get to celebrate some with his dad and brother. There's talk about having a day at the movies for him and his friends after the holidays.

  • To the Spaeths, who faithfully send us Christmas updates on the family and their adventures selling their home in Penfield, New York and moving south to Aiken, South Carolina.

  • To Uncle Dave and Aunt Carolyn, I must have an old email address....Can't seem to get a message out to you. Hope you're doing well.

  • To the Bartholomews and Stones... wherever you guys are this time of year, hope you're having a great time together this season.

  • To my Palauan relatives... too numerous to list here.... Hope you know I always think of you and pray everyone is safe and happy.

  • To my hula ohana in northern Virginia, Halau Ho'omau I Ka Wai Ola O Hawai'i and Kumu Hula Manu Ikaika, Suzanne Strong, and the retired alaka'i sisters - Pumehana, Hau'oli, Stevie, Ku'uipo, Uluwehi, Leolani, and Cynthia. I still recall all that you taught me of the beautiful Hawai'ian culture and those times we spent together after class rehearsing, performing, and eating out. I am forever grateful for your generosity and selfless acts of kindness you showed me over the years. Now that's the true meaning of the Aloha Spirit!

  • To my kitties, China and Hobbes. Even though they were adopted after my move from Virginia and have probably since passed on, they'll always be in my heart. Lotsa hugs, kisses, and love to you my little ones!!!

  • And finally, to my parents who always make the time to chat on the phone and send gifts throughout the year to remind us just how much they care. Just can't say 'Thank You and I Love You' enough!

Well, there's probably more to come....but hopefully not too many more while I ketchup on all the congrats, thank-yous, and 'Seasons Greetings'!

Mau riul, a hui hou aku no!

Lydia
