Healing Energy Share for Sunday, April 1, 2006

Trust inner guidance, in Reiki and in Self: I will keep myself honorable and respectful to myself and to others. I will keep my life open to change and growth.

Hawayo Takata was made the first woman Reiki master when, following her own inner guidance, she traveled on faith and trust to Tokyo for her healing. She was also very diversified in the ways that she taught Reiki and did Reiki treatments. She taught that diversity is to be valued. Even though we are all different, we can all learn to trust. Without basic trust, all is lost.

Within this archetype are the two poles of trust and cynicism. If we trust the Universe, we also trust our Selves, especially our Higher Selves. To trust means to have faith, to have confidence that events in our lives have meaning and often work out "for the best". The "best" may be our soul's highest purpose rather than our ego's need. We do not need to become cynical in order to live with balance.

The opposite of trust is cynicism. The cynic is often a bitter, angry person who always maintains control. This is a person who believes that everyone is motivated by pure selfishness. And that there is, in fact, no Higher Power whose love motivates us. To trust is to let go of control, and the cynic cannot afford to do that, for then he or she will be abandoned in a cold, cruel world.

While it is true that most ideas need to be carefully examined to see whether they hold merit, we must not go to the extreme in mistrusting. We do not need to become a cynic, but we do need to evaluate objectively some things and some people. If we consistently mistrust, we do not honor and respect anything or anyone and often hold others in contempt for their perceived base motives. We can learn to live in harmony with both evaluation and trust in our hearts.

Reflect on the ways in which you express yourself. Ask for feedback from a dear or close friend as to how you are coming across in your communications. Ask if you are seen as a trustworthy person by others.

Happy April Fools Day! I've posted a couple of meditations below the share. And some pics of the cards and treats I got on my birthday celebrations last weekend. Thank you all for taking part in it as well as continuing to be heart and soul of this share.

Michela is back with us on the share and has a request for the group. She wants to start up a Reiki practice and attract clients and students to her. She's asked for an extra energy boost to her efforts. And since the world could always use another Reiki master reaching out to help others, let's do just that.

I gratefully acknowledge and accept the boost of energy from you. Help yourself to the boost I send to you and enjoy it fully.

Namaste (I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells),
