Life is a constant and patient teacher. Lessons come to us and return to us for our greater mastery. As we acknowledge and appreciate our gains, we minimize our losses. Focusing on our strengths, our weaknesses slip away as we build on a bedrock of right action. All lives are a mixture of gain and losss. As I choose to acknowledge the negative while focusing on the positive, I acquire a steadfast foothold of reality. Allowing for improvement while not expecting perfection, I am a work in progress.
By embracing a willingness to learn as well as an attention to lessons learned already, I find myself both healthy and humble. I am right-sized and right-minded. A resilient optimism holds sway.
Today, I choose to practice alert attention to the lessons life is teaching. I consciously strive to see my options and choose wisely. I avoid the pitfalls of the past. I act decisively yet with discretion. I am a student of life.
Julia Cameron, Transitions: Prayers and Declarations for a Changing Life
This week I've been inspired by one of Julia Cameron's books, Transitions, which are prayers and declarations of changes that one experiences through life. I find her books particularly inspiring as she was (and still is) a successful writer whose struggles with alcoholism led to a series of books that teach and inspire other artists to overcome painful difficulties in their lives.
Her words seem to say just the right things during the times when I need creative and personal guidance. One of my favorite authors, I am adding her to my recommended reading list, which I will finally get posted by Monday. Take a look at the previous posts, perhaps she may inspire you as well.
Thank you all for your continued participation in the share. I joyfully acknowledge the boost of energy from you and welcome it with open arms. I also send you a boost with LOTS of love, light, and hugs.
Help yourself to the boost I send to you and enjoy it fully. Enjoy every moment and live the passionate life you intend it to be.
Namaste, (I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells)
